COD RUN

Location : Þórshöfn North East Iceland

1 month each year immense groups of cod enters the bay of Þórshöfn for spawning. They are relatively easy to find since the locals have been fishing from the school if the have quota. They are not only many but also quite big and curious. This tour is scheduled for the photographers and everyone who is interested in marine life because not only can the cod been seen there but also other common marine life surrounded in Iceland.

Includes : Several scuba dives, hotel pick-up and drop-off in Akureyri or Húsavík, an experienced dive guide, all equipment, boat transfer to the area and a light lunch onboard.

You need to bring : A diving certification from any recognized diving organization, warm long underwear and thick socks.

In order to get the most out of your scuba diving experience in Iceland we recommend that all participants come well prepared. Having a good hearty breakfast the morning of your scuba dive will give you the energy you need for the dive. Also, if you have only used a wetsuit we recommend that you acclimatize yourself with dry suit diving first! If you have not had previous dry suit experience we offer the possibility of dry suit testing before you dive. * for a small fee
