THE FISH ROCK of Skálfandi Bay

Location : Skálfandi Bay, North Iceland

Another newly discovered scuba diving spot and great for experienced divers, this dive spot is located in an isolated small cove on Skálfandi Bay. A challenging dive because of the strong current between the rocks, there is often great visibility and the views above and below are magnificent. This is one of those places that words defy and you just have to see it for yourself. There is a good chance of seeing whales along the way. We also offer tour to Puffin Island and combined tour.

Availability : year-round if the weather is good.

Diving Skills : advanced scuba diving skills with experience in dry suit diving and boat diving.*

Includes: 1 dive, hotel pick-up and drop-off in Akureyri or Husavik, all equipment, an experienced local dive guide, a light lunch onboard and lots of fun.

You need to bring : A diving certification from any recognized diving organization, warm long underwear and thick socks.

In order to get the most out of your scuba diving experience in Iceland we recommend that all participants come well prepared. Having a good hearty breakfast the morning of your scuba dive will give you the energy you need for the dive. Also, if you have only used a wetsuit we recommend that you acclimatize yourself with dry suit diving first! If you have not had previous dry suit experience we offer the possibility of dry suit testing before you dive. * for a small fee
